2009 Men's Midwest Knitting Retreat When - Thursday November 12th - Sunday November 15th 2009 Where - Cirlcle Pines Center, Delton MI (and a little Chicago) Cost - Not official or final yet, but I will try to keep it under $200, not including travel or yarn purchases. The following general itinerary is what we have so far - Thursday - Several Chicago-Based knitterly functions including a visit to several LYS’s and ‘knit in’s at local landmarks. These will be intentionally unstructured, allowing people to join as they arrive in Chicago. (food and accomodations for Thursday are not included, but we should have a few relatively inexpensive options as we get closer - including possibly some local couches) Friday - leave Chicago en masse in the morning for the wonders of Michigan (again we will try to arrange car pools for those flying in from out of town or the otherwise car-less), arriving around noon. Friday, Saturday, Sunday - I have tentatively planned the following activities - with more edits to come: Workshops/classes (tell us what you want!) Men's Fall Knitting Retreat 2009 When: Labor Day weekend (9/3-6, Thur-Sun). Where: Dumas Bay Center (Seattle, WA) - Bonuses include beautiful Washington State and proximity to the beach. We have a tour of Skacel and possibly Cascade Yarns. Other possibilities include farms and yarn store crawl in downtown Seattle.
