2025 Great Lakes Men’s Knitting Retreat Registration
Dates: Thursday, October 30, 2025 – Sunday, November 2, 2025
Venue: Pretty Lake Camp in Mattawan, Michigan
Registration Opens Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM (Eastern U.S./Canada time)
Costs:
- Single Occupancy rooms (there are only 3) – $410
- Double Occupancy rooms (there are 8 available – 16 spots) – $360 per person.
If you don’t want to bring your own towels/washcloths/sheets and blankets, they will be provided for use for the weekend for a Linen fee of $30 extra.
Here is a brief schedule:
Thursday, you can arrive at Pretty Lake Camp any time after 1:00 pm. Lunch is on your own. We then will head out around 4:30 pm to eat supper at McAlister’s, a Deli in Portage. We will then gather at 6:00 pm at Chicks with Sticks yarn store in Portage, MI. We will have dessert and shop for yarn and get door prizes and then sit and knit. When we are done there, we travel back to Pretty Lake Camp.
Friday, we will have a field trip to The Bear and Fox Yarn Den in Allegan, MI, where we will have a Lasagna meal, more shopping, more fibering, and more conversation. Then on Saturday, we will have a Show and Tell, so bring your finished objects to show off!
Sunday, we will take a group picture and have a discussion that I like to call The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly where we reflect on the weekend and find out what worked and what didn’t so that I can make next year the best retreat in history.
On the day of Registration, you will get a link to the Registration form. After you fill out the form, you will receive an invoice showing how much you need to send and the address to send it. Any payments not received (or arrangements not made), within 30 days, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
Retreat Venue Policies: We highly value our relationship and history with Pretty Lake Camp. All retreat attendees must comply with Pretty Lake Camp’s rules and regulations. Please read them here.
Refund Policy: Partial refunds within 30 days of registration/No refunds after September 28, 2025
Registration deadline: October 12, 2025
Retreat Limits:
- 19 guys – 3 Private rooms and 8 shared rooms.
- Once 19 guys have registered, you will be able to add your name to a waiting list.
Assistance with local transportation from airport or train stations can be provided if needed.
