2022 Great Lakes Men's Knitting Retreat (Michigan)
Dates: Thursday, November 3, 2022 through Sunday, November 6, 2022
Venue: Pretty Lake Camp in Mattawan, Michigan
Single Occupancy rooms (there are only 4) – $340 Double Occupancy rooms (there are 6 available – 12 spots) – $290 per person.
If you don’t want to bring your own towels/washcloths/sheets and blankets, they will be provided for use for the weekend for a Linen fee of $20 extra.
Here is a brief schedule:
Thursday, you can arrive at Pretty Lake Camp any time after 1:00 pm. Lunch is on your own. We then will head out around 5:30 pm to arrive at 6:00 pm at Chicks with Sticks (formerly Stitching Memories) in Portage, MI. We will eat a home-cooked Lasagna meal and shop for yarn. When we are done there, we travel back to Pretty Lake Camp.
Friday, get up and ready by 8:40 am to head back into town to have breakfast at Café Meli. Then we go back to Chicks With Sticks for that final purchase of yarn and a raffle (free stuff!) before heading back to Pretty Lake Camp. A light lunch mid-afternoon, and then a Pizza Party in the evening.
Saturday, we will have a Show and Tell as in previous years, so bring your finished objects to show off!
Sunday, we will take a group picture and have a discussion that I like to call The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly where we reflect on the weekend and find out what worked and what didn’t so that I can make next year the best retreat in history.
A BIG change this year is that you will need to pay your registration by sending a check.
On the day of Registration, you will get a link to the Registration form. After you fill out the form, you will receive invoice showing how much you need to send and the address to send it. Any payments not received (or arrangements not made), within 30 days, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
