SouthEast Men’s Knitting Retreat – North Carolina
The annual SouthEast Men’s Knitting Retreat takes place at YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, Black Mountain, NC. It typically takes place over the third weekend in November each year. The retreat officially starts on Thursday afternoon and ends before noon on Sunday. The retreat is open to any man, age 21 or over who cares to enjoy the community of fiber-enthusiasts (knitters, crocheters, weavers, spinners, tatters, etc.).
Registration fees for the SouthEast Men’s Knitting Retreat includes:
- Housing for 4 days/3 nights (Thurs-Sun)
- Retreat fees
Accommodations are in Weatherford Hall in hotel style rooms with a double and single bed in each room. Each room also has its own bathroom. A scheduled field trip is typically an afternoon trip to a local yarn shop followed by dinner out in town and then a subsequent trip to another yarn shop on Thursday morning.
Amenities of the retreat center include a hot tub, hiking trails, a pool, and a nightly wood-burning sauna.
Registration typically opens on around the middle of August. Limited private rooms are available on a first-register basis, so get notified about the retreat registration opening by signing up to be notified.
